“Late at Night” is a melodic ballad from Compton native Roddy Ricch that sees him sing about passionate love for his significant other, with Mustard producing the smooth-flowing beat.
Roddy released a snippet on Twitter on May 10, 2021, with the single-emoji caption alluding to the track potentially being the next single to drop from his expected trilogy-ending mixtape, Feed Tha Streets III.
On May 25, 2021, he went back on the platform to confirm that the track would be released on June 4, 2021, when it released alongside its accompanying music video.

The music video features Roddy Ricch at a funfair at night. He is seen on a Ferris wheel before going into a portal teleporting him to an 80’s style party where he is seen dressed in similar clothing to that of Michael Jackson who was an iconic figure of the 1980s. The music video also features famous model Kerreuche Tran who is seen as Roddy Ricch’s love interest.

At the end of the music video, Roddy is seen transforming into a werewolf-like Michael Jackson did in his hit song “Thriller” and proceeds to chase Kerreuche before she wakes up and realizes it was just a dream. She then walks off with Roddy Ricch who then turns to face the camera with glowing eyes just like the werewolf.
