Mbwana Samatta Officially Retires from Tanzania National Team After 15 Years
Tanzania national team (Taifa Stars) captain and striker, Mbwana Samatta, has officially announced his retirement from international football after serving the team for approximately 15 years.
Samatta made the announcement on Tuesday night through his social media platforms, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Tanzania. He described representing his country as one of the greatest honors of his football career.
Making Way for the Next Generation
In his statement, the former KRC Genk and Aston Villa captain said the time had come to step aside and allow a new generation of talented players to take over and lead Taifa Stars to greater success in the future.
Samatta leaves behind an outstanding legacy as one of Tanzania’s most successful footballers, having inspired millions of fans throughout his international career.
