Simba SC Mourns the Passing of Former Competition Committee Vice Chairman Iddi Kajuna
Simba Sports Club has announced the passing of former Competition Committee Vice Chairman Iddi Kajuna, who died in the early hours of today while receiving treatment at Muhimbili National Hospital.
The club confirmed the sad news, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of Kajuna, who had been serving as Vice Chairman of the Competition Committee since his appointment last year.
According to Simba SC, Kajuna’s final official duty came during the CRDB Cup final held in Pemba Island on July 4 this year.
Beyond his role in the Competition Committee, Kajuna was also a member of the Advisory Council established by Simba President Mohammed Dewji to provide guidance on club matters.
Kajuna had a long history of leadership within Simba SC, having served in various positions over the years. His previous roles included acting as the club’s Vice Chairman in 2017, serving as a member of the Executive Committee from 2014 to 2018, and becoming a member of the Interim Board of Directors in 2018 during the club’s leadership transformation process.
The late Kajuna’s body is expected to be prayed over at Maamur Mosque in Upanga before his burial at Kisutu Cemetery in Dar es Salaam today at 4:00 PM.
Simba SC has extended its condolences to Kajuna’s family, relatives, friends, and club members, while praying for God’s mercy upon the late Iddi Kajuna and granting him eternal peace.
